Congress Township

Wayne County, Ohio

Ohio State Route 301 ends in the unincorporated community of Lattasburg, in Congress Township which is located in the northwest corner of Wayne County. The only village along the road is West Salem, located north of Homerville Township in Medina County. West Salem population was 1,430 in the 2020 census. Dragway 42, which opened in 1957, is a multi-purpose facility that hosts Drag Racing, Autocross Racing, Tractor & Truck Pulling and Concerts/Music Festivals as well as many other specialty events. There is a southbound entrance and northbound exit to US I-71 just south of the village. Northwestern school district local schools are considered part of West Salem even though they are located between the unincorporated communities of Pleasant Home and Lattasburg.
